Job summary

Giga Energy seeks a seasoned Quality leader to own the transformer quality program at its Houston facility. You will establish and maintain the ISO 9001 QA system, perform IQC/IPQC/OQC inspections, and drive supplier quality through audits and SCAR closures.

You will lead a team of quality technicians, root-cause defects with 8D and 5 Whys, and push Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to reduce defects and improve FPY across production lines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of Transformer Industry experience.
• Strong understanding of transformer manufacturing processes and material specs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Own QC/QA systems end-to-end at the Houston factory; manage ISO 9001 framework.
• Lead IQC, IPQC, FAT, and OQC inspections against IEEE, ANSI and UL standards.
• Oversee supplier quality: qualifications, audits and SCARs; mentor quality technicians.
• Drive root-cause analysis (8D, 5 Why) and Lean/Six Sigma improvements.
• Track KPIs such as FPY, defects, rework and customer complaints.
• Represent Quality during FAT witnessing and on-site customer interactions.
