Quality Assurance Lab Technician 1st and 3rd Shift (Food Processing)

Stratas Foods LLC is a leading supplier of fats and oils to the Foodservice, Food Ingredients, and Retail Private Label markets in North America. We produce quality bulk and packaged dressings, mayonnaise, and sauces. Established in October 2008 as a joint venture between ACH Food Companies and Archer Daniels Midland, our manufacturing facilities are located across Dallas, Houston, Decatur, Quincy, Englewood, Hillside, Fresno, Nashville, and Valdosta. Our corporate office is in Memphis, TN.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform analytical testing of various vegetable oils according to Stratas SOPs.
  • Test samples at different process points, including production samples and inbound/outbound truck and railcar samples.
  • Communicate test results that require corrective actions to management.
  • Prioritize samples upon arrival in the laboratory.
  • Complete analytical testing and documentation promptly.
  • Enter all analysis data into the database (TLC).
  • Learn and adapt to new procedures as needed.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of laboratory processes and procedures.
  • Attend all scheduled training and safety meetings.
  • Comply with safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Participate in packaging line Quality Assurance activities.
  • Test finished products and incoming materials.
  • Manage storage of production retains.
  • Communicate laboratory results or quality concerns to supervisors or lab leads.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three (3) years of laboratory experience preferred.
  • Basic data entry skills required.
