WeatherTech Direct is seeking well-qualified Robot Technicians to perform configurations on robotic systems and troubleshoot errors on thermoforming machines in the Production department.

We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, including potential end-of-year bonuses and pay increases. Starting rate: $24.00/hr. plus a 3rd shift premium of $1.50/hr.
As a Robot Technician, you will:
- Configure robot systems and perform job calibrations for production operation.
- Monitor robot systems during production and address or report operational issues.
- Assist in repairs to robotic systems.
- Understand the importance of proper tool installation and setup.
- Perform machine cycles and modify robot programs as needed.
- Assess and troubleshoot operational errors.
- Read product briefs and process sheets to ensure accurate machine setup.
- Operate HMI/MIU to optimize platen heights, install programs, and input process numbers for mold changes.
- Operate robotic pendants, controllers, and panels efficiently.
- Use a tape measure to confirm mold sizes.
- Ensure equipment is in proper position before removing molds.
- Inspect and clean molds, report damages, and coordinate repairs.
- Install, repair, or replace end-of-arm tooling.
- Perform preventative maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
- Train team members and share best practices.
- Cross-train in related areas.
- Follow safety guidelines and company policies.
- Maintain understanding of product quality requirements.
- Keep the work area clean and equipment maintained.
- Communicate clearly and work as part of a team.
- Work weekends and overtime as required.
- Set up the next shift for success.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous machine setup experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of plastics and thermoforming (preferred).
- Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic processes.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Ability to read and understand work orders in English.
- Basic math, measuring, and computer skills.
- Attention to safety and quality.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Dependability and good attendance.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Legal work authorization in the U.S.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to operate measuring devices, machinery, tools, and industrial vehicles.
