Job summary

Jobtailor in New York invites rising sophomores to join our Business Technology internship as a QA/Test Engineer. You will assist with test case creation, perform functional and regression testing, and support automated testing efforts while collaborating with software and business teams.

You'll participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, prepare QA reports and dashboards for stakeholders, and contribute to delivering high-quality software within Agile processes.

Qualifications

• Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in college
• Area of study in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields
• Must have a 3.5 or higher GPA
• Ability to work 38.75 hours per week
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively while working collaboratively
• Proficient MS Office skills
• Customer service oriented with S.T.A.R. approach
• Background, fingerprint, credit checks and drug screen as required

Responsibilities

• Assist with administrative functions supporting Business Technology division daily objectives
• Create detailed test cases based on business and technical requirements
• Validate delivered functionality and ensure outputs meet quality standards
• Perform functional, functional integration, and regression testing
• Learn to write and execute automated test scripts using relevant tools
• Collaborate with business units and development teams on testing activities and test data management
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and documentation communicating QA outcomes
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
