Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Software Quality Engineer to assure the delivery of high-quality products and software services. You will prevent defects across the lifecycle, review requirements, and develop automated and manual test suites to ensure coverage and reliability.

You will collaborate with development, participate in agile practices, and mentor teammates on test coverage and stability while leveraging metrics to improve processes and product quality.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in computer science or related field
• 3 years of software quality and testing experience
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Ruby, Python, C#)

Responsibilities

• Assure delivery of high-quality products and software services
• Prevent and detect defects throughout the product lifecycle
• Develop, automate and execute unit, component and system-level tests
• Write automated and manual test cases and collaborate to ensure coverage
• Report test results and verify fixes
• Mentor team members on coverage and automated test stability
• Collaborate with Development on testability and reliability
• Use metrics to drive process effectiveness and quality
