Quality Assurance Inspector - Manufacturing

PowerRail Distribution Incorporated is a certified AAR M-1003 distributor, manufacturer, and remanufacturer of aftermarket locomotive parts, supporting both EMD and GE locomotives. We also provide products for Passenger Transit, Marine, and Power Generation markets.

Job Description

Perform inspections of in-process products using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools. Document inspections in our database, maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, and ensure quality control throughout the manufacturing process. Responsible for early detection and prevention of nonconforming materials.

Note: Small staff, fast-paced environment, attention to detail required.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret manufactured drawings and demonstrate strong computer skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work in various physical conditions.
• Experience with computer proficiency, ERP systems, and QA inspections.
• Experience calibrating measuring devices.
