SUMMARY: The Quality Inspector III performs inspection of aviation accessories according to current technical data in Component Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, Service Information Letters, Airworthiness Directives, Regulations, and Quality procedures approved by or acceptable to the FAA. The role ensures product integrity and compliance with customer requirements before completing inspections.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Complete first run articles with engineering support.
2. Monitor shelf life and properly segregate expired chemicals.
3. Verify maintenance and repair tasks are performed correctly per manuals, drawings, and regulations.
4. Ensure traceability and accuracy of all documentation for compliance.
5. Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns in real-time.
6. Conduct thorough inspections of aviation accessories for FAA, industry standards, and company procedures.
7. Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to verify adherence to specifications.
8. Use precision instruments and testing equipment to inspect parts for defects and deviations.
9. Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
10. Review technical documents, drawings, and CMMs for accurate inspections.
11. Work with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve issues.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of inspection/relevant experience or Associate’s degree with 2 years of experience.
• Understanding of unit functionality.
• Ability to determine product configuration from technical documents and training.
• Decisiveness in product acceptance.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to challenges.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Dependability and accountability.
• Positive attitude, resilience, adaptability.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to meet vision standards for acuity.
• Proficiency in English reading and writing.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• 6+ years in aviation quality inspection, especially in MRO.
• Experience with quality management systems.
• Perform prefinal inspections, document typing, and final document release if applicable.
