Summary

The Quality Inspector III performs inspections of aviation accessories in accordance with current technical data, including Component Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, Service Information Letters, Airworthiness Directives, Regulations, and FAA-approved Quality procedures. The role ensures product integrity and compliance with customer requirements before completing inspection functions.

Responsibilities

• Complete first run articles with engineering support.
• Monitor shelf life and segregate expired chemicals.
• Verify maintenance and repair tasks are performed correctly per manuals, drawings, and regulations.
• Ensure traceability and accuracy of documentation for compliance.
• Collaborate with production to resolve quality concerns in real-time.
• Conduct thorough inspections of accessories for FAA and industry standards compliance.
• Use precision instruments to inspect parts for defects and deviations.
• Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
• Review technical documents, drawings, and CMMs for accurate inspections.
• Work with engineering and production teams to address quality issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years of inspection experience or an Associate’s degree with 2 years of experience.
• Understanding of unit functionality and configuration management.
• Proficiency with measurement tools and inspection equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and decisiveness.
• Excellent communication skills and dependability.
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities.
• Must meet visual acuity standards and be able to read/write English.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of aviation industry inspection experience, especially in MRO.
• Experience with quality management systems.
• Certified Repairman preferred.
