SUMMARY: The Quality Inspector III performs inspections of aviation accessories in accordance with current technical data, including Component Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, Service Information Letters, Airworthiness Directives, Regulations, and Quality procedures approved by or acceptable to the FAA. The role ensures product integrity and full compliance with customer requirements prior to completing inspection.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete first run articles with support from engineering.
• Monitor shelf life and properly segregate expired chemicals.
• Verify maintenance and repair tasks are performed correctly per manuals, drawings, and regulations.
• Ensure traceability and accuracy of all documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns in real-time.
• Conduct thorough inspections of aviation accessories to ensure FAA and industry standards compliance.
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to verify adherence to specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments and testing equipment to identify defects and deviations.
• Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
• Interpret technical documents and drawings to ensure accurate inspections.
• Work with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of inspection or relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree with 2 years of experience.
• Understanding of unit functionality.
• Ability to determine product configuration based on technical documents and training.
• Decisiveness in product acceptance.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
• Strong ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Positive attitude, resilience, and adaptability.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• 6+ years of quality inspection experience in the aviation MRO industry.
• Experience with quality management systems.
• Experience in performing prefinal inspections and releasing final documentation.
