SUMMARY: The Quality Inspector III performs inspection of aviation accessories in accordance with current technical data provided in Component Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, Service Information Letters, Airworthiness Directives, Regulations, and Quality procedures approved by or acceptable to the FAA. The role ensures product integrity and compliance with customer requirements prior to completing the inspection process.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Complete first run articles with support from engineering.
2. Monitor shelf life and properly segregate expired chemicals throughout the department.
3. Verify all maintenance and repair tasks are performed correctly per technical manuals, engineering drawings, and regulatory requirements.
4. Ensure traceability and accuracy of all documentation for regulatory compliance.
5. Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve quality concerns in real-time.
6. Conduct thorough inspections of aviation accessories to ensure FAA compliance, industry standards, and company quality procedures.
7. Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to verify adherence to specifications and standards.
8. Use precision measuring instruments and testing equipment to inspect parts and assemblies for defects, wear, and deviations.
9. Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions according to company procedures and regulations.
10. Review and interpret technical documents/drawings and CMMs to ensure accurate inspections.
11. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve quality issues.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of inspection/relevant experience or Associate’s degree with 2 years of experience.
• Understanding of unit functionality.
• Ability to determine product configuration at the piece part level based on technical documents, design, training, and knowledge.
• Decisiveness in product acceptance.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers & calipers) and inspection equipment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents/drawings and CMMs.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Dependability and accountability.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• 6+ years in quality inspection within the aviation MRO industry.
• Experience with quality management systems.
• Certified Repairman preferred.
• Ability to perform prefinal inspection, prepare release documents, and finalize documentation if performing final inspection.

OTHER:
