Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Inspects production and warehouse for cGMP and SOP compliance.

  • Assists in training employees on cGMPs and SOPs.

Job description

Job Summary

Inspects and promotes cGMP and SOP compliance in production and warehouse settings. Reviews documents for accuracy, compliance, and completeness.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Inspects production facilities and personnel for cGMP and SOP compliance, including cleanliness, organization, cross-contamination prevention, dress code, equipment, and storage. Notifies relevant personnel of non-compliance and follows up for corrections.
  2. Inspects warehouse facilities and personnel for cGMP and SOP compliance, with follow-up on non-compliance issues.
  3. Reviews documentation such as manufacturing log books, batch sheets, weighing printouts, and labels for accuracy and compliance with SOPs.
  4. Assists in investigations of quality issues.
  5. Mantains a QA log book for daily notes and occurrences at the Orange facility.
  6. Inspects and releases equipment for cleanliness before product manufacturing.
  7. Assists in employee training on cGMPs, SOPs, HACCP, personal hygiene, and dress code.
  8. Works in allergen environments including milk, eggs, shellfish, and tree nuts.
  9. Completes additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Education, Training:
  • Minimum: High School Diploma, GED, or Technical School Diploma.
  • First shift: 0-2 years of inspection experience.
  • Other shifts: 1-3 years of inspection experience.
Skills
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with all employee levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of cGMP regulations.
  • Ability to complete and legibly write forms.
  • Multi-tasking and task completion skills.
  • Computer literacy and ability to learn company systems.
  • Fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Basic math skills including percentages.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
  • Use of lab coats/uniforms, safety glasses, gloves, masks, and PPE as required.
Travel Requirements
  • Minimal travel required.
