Qualifications

Job description

Inspects for and promotes cGMP and SOP compliance in production and the warehouse. Reviews documents for accuracy, compliance, and completeness.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities:

• Inspects production facility and personnel for cGMP and SOP compliance. Checks work area for cleanliness, organization, cross contamination issues, dress code, proper equipment and utensil use, storage, etc. Notifies proper personnel of non-compliance and follows up for correction.
• Inspects warehouse facility and personnel for cGMP and SOP compliance. Notifies proper personnel of non-compliance and follows up for correction.
• Inspects documentation for completion, accuracy, and compliance with SOPs, including manufacturing log books, batch sheets, weighing printouts, labels, etc.
• May assist in investigations of quality issues.
• Maintains a QA log book in the Orange facility for all daily notes and occurrences.
• Inspects and releases equipment for cleanliness before manufacturing products.
• Assists in employee training on cGMPs, SOPs, HACCP, personal hygiene, dress code.
• Must be able to work in allergen environments including milk, eggs, shellfish, and tree nuts.
• Completes additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Training:

• High School Diploma, GED, or Technical School Diploma (minimum).
• First shift: 0-2 years of inspection experience in a production facility.
• Other shifts: 1-3 years of inspection experience.
• General knowledge of food manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work productively with all employee levels.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of cGMP regulations.
• Ability to complete and legibly write forms.
• Ability to multi-task and complete tasks.
• Computer literate and willing to learn company systems.
• Fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking.
• Ability to perform basic math, including percentages.
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVITY

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

• Lab coats/uniforms on the production floor.
• Safety glasses on the production floor.
• Gloves as required.
• Dust masks as needed.
• Other PPE as required.
