Job summary

Nidec Power, a global leader in motors and drive systems, seeks a Quality professional for its Minnesota facility. The role supports diverse QA activities, from raw materials to finished products, focusing on lean improvements and cost reduction.

Ideal candidates have 4–6 years in manufacturing, strong leadership, and problem-solving skills. On-site in Mankato with up to 10% travel; ASQ is a plus, and English fluency is essential for cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in technical or science field.
• 4–6 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in electrical generation.
• Excellent leadership and process management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and English communication skills.
• ASQ certification desired, Spanish beneficial.
• MS Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead 6S events and LEAN Enterprise activities.
• Develop supplier evaluation systems and qualify new suppliers.
• Guide customer complaints with quick resolution and failure analysis.
• Develop QA staff systems for disposition of non-conforming material.
• Create and revise Quality Control Plans and PPAPs for new products; implement lean practices.
• Lead ISO9000 internal assessments and support external audits.
