Actalent seeks an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee inspector and calibration personnel, manage a multi-shift team, and maintain a robust document control system. You will drive audits, improve metrics, and lead root-cause analyses while ensuring ISO 9001 compliance and PPAP support.

The role requires strong leadership, data analysis, and communication in a manufacturing setting, with a focus on Lean practices and cost control. Onsite in Mankato, MN.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years in manufacturing with at least 3 years in a quality role.
• Experience leading teams or supervisors.
• Experience in a union environment is a plus.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with lean/manufacturing flow processes.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• ASQ certification preferred.
• Spanish as a second language preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise Inspector and Calibration Inspector personnel.
• Oversee shifts and skill matrix to ensure inspections.
• Validate timecards and monitor productivity.
• Train and evaluate new and transferred staff.
• Manage document control system for quality docs.
• Control gauges via calibrated system per requirements.
• Improve safety metrics and apply 5S in the workplace.
• Report operational metrics and drive improvements via feedback.
• Manage non-conforming material process per ISO 9001 and root-cause analysis.
• Use statistical tools to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering on methods.
• Coordinate with Materials and Supplier Quality on issues.
• Manage department spend on overtime and supplies.
• Follow and improve Quality Control Plans and PPAPs.
• Support lean and error-proofing on the production floor; assist FMEA.
• Supervise Quality Engineering for corrective actions and warranty analysis.
• Support warranty and work with Product Support Manager.
• Participate in New Product Development and gate reviews to improve reliability.
