Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a Production Quality Engineer to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of prevention-oriented quality and inspection systems across a production value stream. You will work with plant leadership and shop-floor teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with experience in quality engineering, supplier quality, and internal audits.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in quality or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of aerospace or industrial quality systems and RCCA.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis tools and problem-solving methods (control charts, capability analysis, RCCA).
• Ability to work well in a team-based environment as a leader or contributor.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
• Knowledge of AS Standards and SAP quality modules.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction to manufacturing, production, and support staff and resolve manufacturing difficulties.
• Analyze quality trends and participate in process improvement activities.
• Foster a Zero Defects culture and facilitate RCCA using 8-D across all disciplines.
• Determine customer and regulatory quality requirements and analyze compatibility with Parker products and processes.
• Prepare and maintain detailed quality plans, control plans, inspection/test plans and methods.
• Support Supplier Quality to improve activities for external suppliers and certification efforts.
• Participate in internal activities in support of major customer and third-party certification.
• Lead and assist in quality audits to ensure internal compliance and coordinate audits/inspections.
• Interface directly with personnel at all levels, as well as customer and government representatives.
• Build solid relationships with Quality personnel from vendors and customers to meet contractual requirements.
• Assist in quality-related training of plant personnel and development of training materials.
