Job summary

Stars Behavioral Health Group in Indio, CA is seeking a Quality Assurance Coordinator to oversee Medi‑Cal and internal standards, auditing documentation and ensuring accuracy across billing and records.

You will supervise chart corrections, manage the CQI program, and support staff compliance with clinical policies while promoting professional growth through on‑the‑job training and paid CEUs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or nursing license or equivalent QA experience required.
• One year residential care or inpatient psychiatric QA experience required.
• Valid California Driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Audit documentation to reconcile with billing and external reporting requirements.
• Oversee staff documentation to ensure conformity with Medi‑-Cal, county and internal standards.
• Manage charts with deficiencies and route for correction.
• Ensure discharged charts are closed in correct order and completed.
• Coordinate CQI program, medical records and CQI data collection.

The position is responsible for auditing documentation to reconcile with billing and oversees documentation of services by staff to assure conformity with Medi-Cal, County, other outside agencies, and internal standards and policies. QA Coordinator manages all charts with deficiencies by processing them to the appropriate department for correction. QA Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the discharged chart is closed in the correct order and completed.
