Job summary

Permobil in Lebanon, Tennessee, seeks a Quality Assembler to visually inspect chairs and support assembly to meet specifications. The role collaborates with engineering and production to ensure quality and compliance throughout the line.

You will read drawings, interpret work orders, and document non-conformances while coaching staff to improve standards. This is a first-shift role with overtime opportunities as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous manufacturing or Quality experience desired.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, work orders, and specifications.
• Working knowledge of assembly and modification processes.
• Familiarity with adaptive technology, mobility equipment, or medical device standards desired.
• Leadership to coach and guide others to improve standards of work.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect chairs for proper assembly and function.
• Coordinate with engineering/product teams to meet customer specs.
• Communicate non-conformances to operators, Supervisors, and Managers.
• Serve as liaison between assembly and other staff.
• Support rework and assembly as needed.
• Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and company policies.
• Suggest process improvements to boost efficiency and quality.

Permobil has a position open for a Quality Assembler.

• Pay Range: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
• Shift: 1st Shift
• Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am -
  4:30pm (Must have the ability to work overtime hours.)

Your Role in Our Mission

• Physically and Visually inspect chairs for proper assembly and function.
• Partner with engineering and product development teams to understand customer specifications.
• Communicate non-conformances to operators, Supervisors, and Managers.
• Be a liaison between assembly and other staff.
• Flex into rework and assembly roles as needed.
• Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards, regulatory compliance, and company policies.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality capability of Assembly operations.

What You'll Brig

• Experience: Previous manufacturing or Quality experience desired.
• Technical Skills:
• Working knowledge of assembly and modification processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and specifications.
• Familiarity with adaptive technology, mobility equipment, or medical device standards desired
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to coach and guide people to improve standards of work.
• Other Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
