Job summary

KIHOMAC in Layton, UT seeks a Quality Management professional to act as the technical representative for the QMS across the organization. You will cultivate a quality mindset, develop and maintain manufacturing quality processes, and support strategic plans with data-driven analysis.

You will lead audits, drive corrective actions, and collaborate with supply chain, program management, and engineering to ensure materials and product requirements are met. Requires US citizenship and on-site work.

Qualifications

• Validate quality processes via specifications, documentation, and qualification activities.
• Lead quality improvements and interface with supply chain, program management, and engineering.
• Manage nonconformances from root cause analysis to corrective actions.
• Review 2D drawings and ensure accuracy from 3D models using CAD/CAM systems.

Job description

Act as technical representation for quality management system across organization.

Cultivate and champion the quality mindset across disciplines.

Develop, execute and maintain manufacturing quality processes.

• Achieve quality system objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews
• Prepare and complete action plans
• Implement production, quality, and customer-service standards
• Completing audits and determine system improvements
• Develop quality assurance plans as part of the business development process by analyzing drawings and specifications, outlining tasks and identifying potential deficiencies, conducting risk analyses (DFMEA/PFMEA), and generally providing the quality perspective from the proposal phase to post award
• Validate quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes, documenting evidence, determining operational and performance qualifications, writing and updating plans, procedures, processes which support high quality and efficiency in the producing of a service or product
• Provide expertise in the development of product test, laboratory equipment, or processes to meet the growth opportunities where alternate testing or evaluation might be required for a customer product
• Lead transformational change and improvement
• Develop and maintain quality systems and procedures for inspection, testing, and final product evaluation
• Interface and collaborate with supply chain, program management, and engineering to ensure materials and product requirements are met
• Initiate and manage nonconformances from root cause analysis to implementation of corrective and preventative actions
• Effectively work with CAD/CAM systems or other computer aided manufacturing systems; review 2D drawings and ensure accuracy is maintained from 3D models

Physical Requirements

• Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms
• Frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements while using a computer or measuring tools
• Have the dexterity to see fine print and use hand and precision measuring tools
• Adhering to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
• Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time
