Job summary

Valley Forge & Bolt Mfg is seeking a Quality Support Specialist to assist with the Quality Management System, inspections, training, and CA/COs creation. You will issue purchase orders for calibration and testing, track vendor trends, and support company objectives while aiding customer satisfaction.

The role requires basic MS Office skills, teamwork, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail and initiative are essential.

Qualifications

  • G.E.D. / High School or some college preferred.
  • Experience in fast-paced manufacturing is a plus.
  • Calibration maintenance and vendor tracking experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Assure products comply with VF quality standards and specifications.
  • Operate basic hand inspection tools and record measurements.
  • Maintain calibration of equipment and logs.
  • Perform basic computer tasks (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Collaborate with other departments and prioritize duties.
  • Document daily/monthly/quarterly logs and records.
  • Fill out NCFs (QA issues) with required information.
  • Prepare certificates and customer qualification packages.

Job description

This position will assist with the Quality Management System, as well as but not limited to: Inspections, Training, Creation of C of C’s, issuing of purchase orders for Calibration & Testing. Assist on developing and maintaining Trends and tracking of vendors. The objective for the candidate will be a Key contributor of the team in providing support the companies Objective’s Goals to meet and exceed expectations while achieving customer satisfaction. The candidate will share responsibilities in regards with NCF issues to drive employee communication and improvements . Other duties could be at various stages through the production processes such as: Receiving, In-Process or Final inspection stages.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:
  • Assure that products are compliant to VF quality standards and any specification(s).
  • The ability to use all basic types of hand inspection equipment. i.e. Hand Tools (Height Gage, Caliper(s), Micrometer(s)
  • Shall maintain calibration of equipment and record keeping.
  • Shall have basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint programs & maneuver Windows Explorer)
  • Must be able to work well with other departments and know how to prioritize job duties.
  • Document Daily/Monthly/Quarterly logs and records.
  • Shall fill out NCF’s (QA’s), if issues are found with required information.
  • Certificate’s approvals and Customer Cert. package creation.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education
  • G.E.D. / High School or some College a plus
  • Team building a plus
  • Basic Six Sigma training a plus
Experience
  • Experience in working in a fast paced manufacturing environment for 5+ years a plus
  • Fully efficient in all Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to lead and help develop within a team
  • ERP/ MRP software experience a plus.
  • Follow and be able to interpret specifications.
  • Calibration maintenance and tracking a must
  • Vendor maintenance and performance tracking knowledge
