Job summary

Valley Forge & Bolt Mfg Co. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a maintenance technician to install, calibrate, and service load indicating systems on the production floor. You will perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal operation.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent (electronics training preferred), ability to read schematics, and meticulous handling of tiny components. This is a safety-sensitive position with PPE requirements.

Qualifications

Job description

Essential Functions / Responsibilities
  • Perform installation, calibration, and maintenance of load indicating systems and devices.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on load indicating systems to ensure optimal functioning.
  • Small component assembly requiring attention-to-detail and careful handling

Work Environment

The primary work environment is the production floor. Secondary work environment is the office.

  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) through the entire shift.
  • Ability to be aware of surroundings for safety concerns.
  • While performing duties of this job the employee will be required to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of time. Occasion stooping and walking will be required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in electronics or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of electronic principles and circuitry helpful
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle and work with tiny components.
