Job summary

Valley Forge & Bolt Mfg. Co. on the Phoenix production floor seeks a CNC Operator to produce high-quality fasteners. You will set up and calibrate machines, monitor processes, and ensure parts meet specifications.

The role requires reading technical drawings, precise measurement, and strong attention to detail in a safety-conscious environment. You will document actions and support cross-shift continuity.

Qualifications

Job description

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC machines to produce high-quality fasteners
• Set up and calibrate machines according to specifications
• Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations; take measurements; detect malfunctions; troubleshoot processes; adjust and reprogram controls; sharpen and replace worn tools; adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related problems
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
• Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

Work Environment:

• Primary work environment is the production floor
• Secondary work environment is the office
• Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) throughout the entire shift
• Ability to be aware of surroundings for safety concerns
• Employee will be required to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of time; occasional stooping and walking will be required
