Job Title:

Salesforce Billing - Solution Architect

Role Overview:

The Solution Architect is a subject matter expert on Salesforce Billing projects, responsible for client delivery, proposals, new business opportunities, and knowledge management. They work closely with the Product Owner and Technical Architect to understand requirements and develop high-quality solutions that meet client needs.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical leader for Salesforce Billing projects onsite at client locations.
• Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions leveraging the Salesforce Billing platform.
• Estimate effort for proposed solutions, articulating benefits and risks.
• Provide expert technical assistance to developers.
• Stay updated on new Salesforce product and technical capabilities.
• Support sales efforts with technical effort estimates.
• Present to clients during sales processes and develop proof of concepts.
• Participate in marketing events and industry conferences.
• Publish thought leadership, speak publicly, and present to clients.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Lead or contribute to technical discussions and workshops.
• Create high-level architecture diagrams understandable to both technical and business audiences.
• Optimize product configurations for billing requirements.
• Guide clients on best billing strategies.
• Act as the solution owner, ensuring project scope and outcomes are on track.
• Interview potential candidates.
• Travel up to 50% as needed.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of CRM or Billing implementation experience.
• Successful completion of at least 2 Salesforce Billing implementations.
• Understanding of Salesforce CPQ and Billing integration.
• Minimum of 3 years Salesforce platform experience (4+ preferred).
• Deep understanding of data models and product/pricing management.
• Knowledge of the full billing cycle, including invoicing, revenue recognition, and ERP integration.
• Experience in B2B or B2C e-commerce is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Experience as a Solution Architect on 3+ projects lasting at least 6 months each.
• Active Salesforce certifications or ability to obtain them within the first months of employment.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position varies by seniority: $122,000-$225,000 for Principal Architect and $140,000-$258,000 for Senior Delivery Principal Architect. Bonuses may also be available.
