Job summary

Applegreen is seeking a General Manager for a quick service restaurant located inside a major highway travel plaza. You will lead a dedicated team, manage day-to-day operations, and drive profitability while upholding brand standards and food safety.

The role requires engaging staff, controlling costs, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will recruit, coach, and develop team members, ensure schedules meet demand, and collaborate with support partners to maintain smooth operations

Qualifications

• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and lead a team.
• Proven ability to drive profitable growth while improving customer and associate satisfaction.
• 2+ years of supervisory or unit-level management experience in a QSR.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Flexible on-site schedule ~50 hours per week including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods; lift and carry at least 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of associates and managers to meet sales, speed, satisfaction, brand, and safety targets.
• Maintain budgets, inventory, food and labor costs, gross profit, and reporting.
• Ensure adherence to brand standards and food safety requirements.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a strong QSR team; coach and train staff.
• Oversee cash handling policies and procedural compliance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal laws.
• Resolve customer issues promptly to maintain positive relationships.
• Collaborate with Brand Partners, HR, Loss Prevention, Finance, and Facilities & Maintenance.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with vendors and community partners.
