Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral scientist to join the Global PKPD group. You will develop and apply AI-powered QSP models that integrate biology, pharmacology, and preclinical/clinical data to drive decisions in drug discovery.

You will collaborate cross-functionally, maintain documentation, and present findings at conferences. This 2-year fixed-term role offers opportunities to transition to full-time positions and advance in a world leader in medicine.

Qualifications

• PhD in quantitative pharmacology, systems biology, biomedical engineering, applied mathematics or related field.
• Experience in developing QSP/mechanistic PKPD models or ODE-based models for biological systems.
• Experience with development of virtual patient populations; proficiency with R, Matlab/Simbiology, Python, NONMEM/Monolix and parameter estimation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature, regulatory, and database searches to collect data for model design and parameterization.
• Design and implement an ODE-based QSP model capturing pharmacokinetics, biology, and physiological dynamics.
• Perform parameter estimation, simulations, and analyses to inform discovery and development programs.
