Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living is seeking a Med Care Manager/QMAP to administer, pour, pass, and document all prescribed medications under the Wellness Director and in line with state regulations. You will learn each resident’s preferred method of taking meds while ensuring accuracy and safety.

This full-time, non-exempt role offers a 6am-2pm schedule, a pay range of $21.00–$24.00 per hour, and benefits including health insurance, 401k with matching, HSA options, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Must have completed state approved Medication Administration training.
• QMAP certification in CO is required.
• Experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care preferred.
• Must read and write English.
• Minimum three years’ experience in senior living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document prescribed medications per physician orders.
• Order medications from the pharmacy 7 days before running out.
• Document medications in the resident’s medical record after administration.
• Observe and report reactions or side effects to the licensed nurse.
• Take vital signs prior to medications that may affect them.
• Report medication errors immediately to Wellness Director.
• Assist with development and review of care plans with other disciplines.
