Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living is seeking a qualified Med Care Manager/QMAP to administer meds per physician orders under supervision. You’ll learn each resident’s preferred administration method and support the Wellness Director to meet regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include ordering meds, documenting administration, monitoring for adverse effects, and assisting in care planning while upholding resident dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• License/Certification: state-approved Medication Administration training and QMAP in CO.
• Education: minimum high school diploma or equivalent; prefer health-care experience.
• Continuing Education: required by law with monthly in-service training.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document prescribed meds per MAR under Wellness Director guidance.
• Order meds from pharmacy 7 days before run-out and ensure timely delivery.
• Document meds given in the resident's medical record and initial bubble pack.
• Observe and report adverse reactions and changes in resident condition.
• Take vital signs before meds that may affect readings as directed.
