Job summary

Waters of Clifty Falls seeks a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) for night shift to administer medications under nurse supervision. You will document MAR, monitor residents, and communicate changes to the nursing staff, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires current QMA certification, flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to work independently in a long-term care setting. Competitive benefits and shift differentials are offered.

Qualifications

• Must understand federal and state regulations.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to communicate with residents, families, staff, and community.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications including oral, PRN (with nurse approval), inhalers, nebulizer treatments, topical and rectal meds, nasal, eye, and ear meds.
• Observe residents for drug reactions and report concerns to the nurse.
• Monitor resident vital signs and document MAR entries.
• Calculate dosages and stock the medication cart.
• Report to the nurse with instructions for PRN meds.
• Audit documentation for accuracy and timeliness.
• Safely lift/move/transfer residents as required.
• Attend mandatory meetings and med pass audits.
