Job summary

LMG is seeking a Lighting Technician in Las Vegas to ensure equipment readiness, perform inspections, and verify show order accuracy. You will test systems, communicate issues, and support cross‑team prep activities to deliver reliable gear for live events.

With 1–2 years of live production experience and a keen eye for detail, you will contribute to inventory readiness and quality control, while collaborating with video, LED and audio teams, and ensuring timely show preparation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training is a plus.
  • 1–2 years in live production or equipment handling, preferably lighting.
  • Knowledge of lighting systems, fixtures, accessories, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills; strong time management.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect lighting fixtures, control systems and accessories for readiness before deployment.
  • Verify equipment condition, cleanliness, firmware updates and order accuracy.
  • Test lighting systems with consoles to simulate real-world event conditions.
  • Identify issues and communicate repairs or replacements needed.
  • Assist with post-show returns and inventory documentation.
  • Maintain clean prep and storage areas and follow quality-control procedures.
  • Support video, LED and audio teams during show prep as needed.
  • Participate in warehouse operations during high-volume periods.

Location: Las Vegas, NV | Full Time | Pay Range: $16.50 - $21.63/HR (Based on experience and qualifications)

What You'll Do
  • Ensure equipment readiness by performing visual and functional inspections of lighting fixtures, control systems, and accessories before deployment.
  • Prepare accurate show orders by verifying equipment condition, cleanliness, firmware updates, and order accuracy.
  • Validate performance and reliability by testing lighting systems using appropriate consoles and accessories to simulate real-world event conditions.
  • Support equipment quality standards by identifying discrepancies and communicating equipment issues requiring repair or replacement.
  • Maintain inventory readiness by assisting with post-show returns, documenting damaged equipment, and returning gear to inventory.
  • Keep operations organized by maintaining clean, efficient prep and storage areas and following established quality-control procedures.
  • Collaborate across disciplines by supporting video, LED, and audio teams during show preparation activities when needed.
  • Contribute to warehouse operations during high-volume preparation periods and other equipment handling activities.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training or certification is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience in live production or equipment handling, preferably with lighting equipment.
  • Knowledge of lighting systems, fixtures, accessories, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong time management and ability to follow tasks through to completion.
