Job summary

United Community is seeking a Quality Control Specialist I to review loan operations through QC workflow queues, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You will identify gaps, document findings, and support reporting, while maintaining training materials and procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or a related role.
• Knowledge of federal and state banking regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to think critically and work with limited guidance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality control reviews across loan operations, including loan origination, underwriting, document processing, flood, and related activities
• Test and evaluate the effectiveness of existing processes by reviewing documentation, analyzing data, and performing sample checks
• Identify errors, deficiencies, or control weaknesses and document findings and recommendations
• Compile and assist with daily and weekly QC reporting
• Maintain documentation for QC processes, results, and procedural updates
• Address and follow processes related to credit reporting disputes and out‑of‑cycle updates to Credit Reporting Agencies
• Adhere to all corporate and Loan Operations policies and procedures
• Provide world‑class service to internal and external clients with professionalism and urgency
• Meet service level agreements (SLAs) and manage multiple priorities effectively
