Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a QA/QC Engineer for our Phoenix, AZ Division to implement and administer the Quality Assurance/Control Program on commercial construction projects. You will inspect materials, coordinate with owner representatives, review NCRs, punch lists, and ensure compliance with contract documents and design specs while maintaining quality records and daily reports.

The role requires reading plans, OSHA 30 training, and strong communication as you interface with design teams

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Associate degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
0-2+ years in commercial/aviation construction QA/QC or related field.
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training (can obtain within first year).
Ability to read plans, specs, codes and contract requirements.
Ability to perform in-process inspections and communicate results.

Responsibilities

Implements QA/QC program including inspecting, testing and documenting quality records.
Coordinate with Owner’s representative and Architect for NCRs, punch list and final resolution.
Interface with Design team and City Inspectors for compliance inspections.
Monitor subcontractors for compliance with contract documents and specs.
Inspect installation of material and equipment for quality control compliance.
Resolve quality control issues and manage quality records and reports.
Attend pre-bid/pre-construction and weekly QA/QC meetings with subcontractors.
