Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a QCQA Director for the Phoenix, AZ Division to lead the Quality Department and drive the corporate quality program. The role requires extensive QA/QC leadership for design-build projects, with a focus on audit programs and client requirements.

You will mentor staff, implement audits, and ensure safety, integrity, and performance standards across projects. Join a 100% employee-owned company delivering high-profile commercial construction.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, Science, or related field.
• 15–20 years of experience in QA/QC for design-build and construction programs.
• OSHA 30‑hour Construction Industry Outreach Training required (or to be obtained within first year).
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Develops, mentors, trains, and leads the Quality Department and related functions.
• Establishes and executes the corporate quality and continuous improvement program.
• Develops and implements quality management and inspection systems; guides QA/QC staff.
• Coordinates internal quality audits as standard process.
• Oversees project quality programs to meet client requirements and expectations.
• Mentors staff, plans career growth, and participates in staffing decisions.
• Supports investigations of non-conformances and works with design teams on corrective actions.
