Job summary

Austin Commercial in Phoenix, AZ seeks a QC/QA Engineer to lead quality assurance and control activities on our commercial construction project. You will inspect, document, and coordinate with the design team, owner, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with contract documents and codes.

Responsibilities include field inspections, NCR management, daily reports, and final walk-through checklists. A Bachelor or Associate degree and 2–3 years of QA/QC experience in construction are preferred;

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree strongly preferred in Engineering and/or Construction management.
• Minimum of 2–3 years experience in a commercial/QA/QC role on large projects.
• Experience with steel or structural concrete scopes on major construction projects.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training (may be obtained within first year).
• Ability to read plans, specs, codes, and contract requirements.
• Proficiency in documenting inspections and communicating results.
• Familiar with electronic data collection and inspection methods.

Responsibilities

• Implements the QA/QC program, including inspecting, testing and documenting in quality records.
• Coordinates with Owner's representative/Architect for compliance and NCR handling.
• Interfaces with Design team and City Inspectors for compliance inspections.
• Monitors subcontractors for contract and design compliance.
• Inspects installation of materials and equipment for quality control.
• Manages quality records and daily inspection reports.
• Prepares final walk-through checklists for contractor work.
