Job summary

Austin Commercial in Phoenix seeks a QCQA Director to lead the Quality Department across the Phoenix, AZ division. You will shape the quality program, mentor teams, and ensure client requirements are understood and met on complex design-build projects.

The role requires a BS in engineering or related field, 15–20 years in QA/QC for construction, OSHA 30-hour training, and a proven ability to build and lead high-performance teams.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, Science, or related field.
• 15–20 years in a Quality Assurance/Control for design-build and construction.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training (completed or within first year).
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead high-performing teams at project and department levels.
• Familiar with design and construction software.

Responsibilities

• Develops and leads the quality department and programs.
• Directs quality control systems and audits.
• Oversees client quality requirements and expectations.
• Coordinates training and succession planning for quality staff.
• Supports investigations of non-conformances and root causes.
• Collaborates with QA/QC, Owners, and Design Engineers on issues.
