Job summary

Gideon Contracting, LLC is seeking a Quality Control Manager to oversee daily preventive and corrective QC activities on Federal/DOD construction projects. The role conducts QC meetings, inspections, submittal reviews, and ensures testing complies with industry standards and contract codes.

You will prepare QC certifications and documentation, maintain logs, and manage close-out while building strong relationships with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and Gideon team

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years Federal/DoD construction experience.
• Completion of the Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors course.
• Knowledge of construction drawings, plans, procedures, scheduling and testing.
• Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Willingness to travel.
• Ability to obtain access to Federal Installations.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Construction Quality Control Program at assigned jobsites.
• Perform preparatory and initial phase meetings/inspections.
• Prepare and submit Quality Control Daily Reports.
• Track and provide project submittals to the Government; maintain the submittal register.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, vendors and Gideon team members to ensure a compliant project.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of contract documents.
• Implement QC procedures including document control, submission management, RFIs, material samples and maintain job-site redlines.
• Maintain the QC Testing Log and deficiency log.
• Oversee and manage project close-out.

Qualifications

• Mustbeabletomanageprojectsof2to10millioninsize.
• Mustbeabletotravel.
• MustbeabletoobtainaccesstoaFederalInstallation.
