Job summary

Gideon Contracting, LLC in Florida seeks a capable Construction Scheduler/Project Coordinator to supervise day-to-day operations, inspect progress, and ensure seamless schedules for employees and subcontractors.

Assist the Project Manager in developing, monitoring, and communicating the project schedule and revisions; coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and safety staff to resolve field issues and ensure compliance with contract documents.

Qualifications

• Must have three years’ of Department of Defense (DOD) construction experience.
• Must be able to manage projects successfully to completion, on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect to ensure seamless day-to-day schedules and operations of employees and subcontractors.
• Assist the Project Manager in developing, monitoring, updating, and communicating the project schedule and revisions.
• Oversee work among trade partners to promote a coordinated schedule/operations; resolve issues regarding procedures, precedence, design clarifications and equipment schedules.
• Communicate with owners and architects/engineers regarding field issues; investigate and resolve.
• Coordinate with government and non-government personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, onsite staff, owners, PMs, superintendents and Corporate Safety to maintain clear communication.
• Manage the work to ensure compliance with and conformity to approved contract documents.
• Coordinate all Construction Quality Control and Site Safety and Health Officer (CQC/SSHO) responsibilities with the assigned QC and SSHO manager.
• Work with QC to ensure meetings are conducted, documented, and paperwork submitted per contractual obligations; assist QC to monitor workmanship quality on site.
• Work with Safety Manager to ensure all rules and procedures are followed.

• Overseeworkamongtradepartnerstopromoteacoordinatedschedule/operations.Resolveproblemsregardingprocedures,precedence,designclarificationsandequipmentschedules.
• Communicatewithownersandarchitects/engineersinconnectionwithfieldissues.Investigateandresolve.
• KeyWorkingRelationshipsMustbeabletoworkwithgovernmentandnon-governmentpersonnelinaprofessionalandclearmanner.Beabletoworkwithdifferenttradesandconstructionfocusestoensureaqualityenvironmentwithoutlimitingthetradesabilitytocompletework.MustbeabletoproperlycommunicateoverthephoneandinwritingtouppermanagementtoincludeSubcontractors,Suppliers,OnsiteStaff,Owners,otherPM's,Superintendents,andCorporateSafety.
• Managetheworktoensurecompliancewithandconformstotheapprovedcontractdocuments.
• CoordinateallConstructionQualityControlandSiteSafetyandHealthOfficer(CQC/SSHO)responsibilitieswiththeassignedQCandSSHOmanager.

• WorkwithSafetyManagertoensurethatallrulesandproceduresarebeingfollowed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Musthavethreeyears’ofDepartmentofDefense(DOD)constructionexperience.Mustbeabletomanageprojectssuccessfullytocompletion,ontimeandwithinbudget.

RequiredSkills:

• StrongcomputerskillsandfamiliaritywithMicrosoftOfficeSuiteandSharePoint.
• Mustbeabletomanageprojectsof2to15millioninsize.
• MustbeabletoobtainaccesstoaFederalInstallation

PreferredSkills:

• CompletionoftheConstructionQualityManagement(CQM)forContractorscourse.
