Job summary

SLSCO LTD. Federal Services Division seeks an experienced QC Manager to lead quality-control efforts for heavy civil infrastructure projects across the Southwestern United States, including NAVFAC, USACE, and AFCEC.

The role reports to the Project Manager/Superintendent and the Director of Quality Control, with responsibilities spanning planning, inspections, audits, submittals, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure contract compliance and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of construction quality-control experience.
• Experience on at least two federal design-build construction projects.
• QCM/CQC role on projects valued at $10M+ each.
• USACE CQCM certification strongly desired, or must attain within 30 days.
• 30-hour OSHA certification strongly desired, or must attain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Serve as QC Manager reporting to the Project Manager/Superintendent.
• Develop and implement the Project Quality Control Plan to ensure contract compliance.
• Perform quality inspections per contract requirements and the 3-phase quality system.
• Maintain RFI and Non-Conformance registers to resolve issues.
• Submit QC reports daily/weekly/monthly with meaningful information.
• Assist in the development of QC Plans for future projects.
• Communicate QC Plan expectations with all stakeholders.
• Manage third-party testing and inspection crews.
