SLSCO Ltd. Federal Services Division seeks an experienced QC Manager to oversee quality control on heavy civil projects in the Laredo, TX area. You will implement QC plans, manage inspections, and coordinate with NAVFAC, USACE, and AFCEC to meet contract requirements.

The role requires leading audits, managing third-party testers, and ensuring flawless documentation while supporting project teams and the Director of Quality Control.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction quality-control experience.
• Experience on at least two federal design-build projects.
• QCM/CQC role on projects valued at $10M+ each.
• Strong heavy-civil construction background.
• Knowledge of three phases: control, submittals, inspections, testing, documentation.
• Experience with roadway, earthwork, drainage, concrete, structural and utilities.

Responsabilités

• Serve as QC Manager reporting to the Project Manager/Superintendent.
• Develop and implement the Project Quality Control Plan for contract compliance.
• Communicate QC plan expectations with stakeholders.
• Perform quality inspections per contract and 3-phase QC system.
• Manage 3rd party testing and inspection teams.
• Review submittals for contract compliance.
• Lead internal/external QC audits and maintain RFI/non-conformance registers.
• Submit QC reports daily/weekly/monthly and assist future QC planning.
