ST Engineering Aerospace in Pensacola, FL seeks a Quality Control Lead to guide a team of inspectors and ensure every aircraft meets FAA standards. The role blends hands-on inspection with team leadership, reviewing flight logs and mentoring staff to drive operational excellence at the Repair Station.

You will be responsible for supervising inspectors, verifying work, and ensuring compliance with FARs and engineering instructions approved by the FAA, while supporting safe, efficient aircraft

Qualifications

• A&P License is required.
• 5 years of heavy commercial aircraft maintenance experience.
• Minimum of 2 years inspection experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all inspectors in your crew.
• Review incoming aircraft maintenance logs for work required at the Repair Station.
• Transfer work to the appropriate forms and manage workflow.
• Assign and monitor inspectors' duties.
• Survey all work in progress and ensure timely completion.
• Verify airworthiness release and entries in logs.
• Check installation, security, safety, and workmanship.
• Ensure conformance to specifications per repair or maintenance.

What YOU will do:

The Lead Inspector shall be responsibletotheSupervisor ofQuality Control for the activities of all Inspectors assigned to your crew.

In This Role YOU will:

• Assistand direct all personnel assigned to your crew.
• Review incomingaircraftmaintenancelogs for items of work required to beaccomplishedat the Repair Station.
• Procure required forms and workorders andtransferwork to be accomplished to forms.
• Assign andmonitorinspectors' duties.
• Survey all work in progress.
• Accept or reject workaccomplishedfor all items generated on the work order.
• Ensure that shift inspectors give essential tie-in to their relief to ensure proper completion of work in progress.
• Be responsible forentries in theaircraftmaintenanceflight logs, as well as the airworthiness release.
• Check for proper installation, security,safetyand workmanship.
• Check for proper material and fasteners.
• Check for conformance to specification per repair, maintenance or other relevant manual or applicable engineering instruction approved by the FAA.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Good working knowledge of all aircraft job tasks, through understanding of all applicable FAR’s and company policy and procedures through knowledge of all aircraft manuals and related materials. Strong knowledge of all company and customer paperwork and a thorough knowledge of blueprint and drawing instructions.

INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS:

A strong level of interpersonal skills is required to maintain an effective relationship with various departments, inspectors, co‑workers, supervision and the customer.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:

Requires easy mobility around various sections of aircraft. Requires mental skills and quickness with the ability to cope with stress and intense effort or exertion usually caused by long working hours. Working environment requires standing 90% of the workday on hard surfaces. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and to report to work regularly
