Job summary

McCormick & Company in Belcamp, MD is seeking a Lab Technician I to perform analytical, chemical, and physical tests for quality control of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods. You will work under the Quality Manager to ensure safety and product quality while supporting investigations and process improvements.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, GMP/GLP knowledge, and strong data entry skills.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required
• 1–2 years of related manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of GMPs and GLPs
• Knowledge of PC software and data entry
• Ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities; good communication
• Color vision required; PAPR use on production floor
• Overtime and attendance required

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing and record results in SAP
• Utilize various test methods and instrumentation
• Calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment
• Initiate and document Quality Notifications/DMRs/DMAs and participate in root cause analysis
• Interpret data and guide manufacturing to meet specifications
• Prepare samples for outside testing including environmental testing
• Perform COA verification and raw material sampling
• Other duties as assigned
