Job summary

Robinson Construction Company is seeking an On-Site Quality Control Inspector - CWI to oversee QC activities on heavy industrial projects and inspect weld quality and conformance to specifications.

The role requires 5+ years of construction QC/QA experience, knowledge of ACI, ICC, AWS and ASME codes, and CWI/ICC S2 preferred. You will coordinate third-party inspections, maintain quality records, and report findings to the Corporate QC Manager and project team.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum five (5) years related construction experience as QC/QA Inspector.
• Working knowledge of codes (ACI, ICC, AWS and ASME).
• CWI and/or ICC S2 Special Inspector preferred; ICC S1 preferred.
• Piping VT Inspector – Level II VT Inspector – understand pipe welding to ASME Codes.
• Experience in other forms of NDE is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee self-perform work including concrete forming, placing, and finishing, structural steel erection and welding.
• Monitor subcontracted work including rebar, masonry, steel studs, drywall, electrical, roofing, and interior finishes to codes.
• Coordinate 3rd party special inspections as required by contract documents; verify permit inspections.
• Maintain quality records and assist in turnover documents; participate in QC meetings.
• Communicate with external quality assurance officers during on-site inspections and meetings.
