Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Quality Control Dimensional Inspector to support a DOE-focused program in Oak Ridge, TN. The role centers on performing dimensional inspections, programming CMMs, and ensuring precision components meet stringent quality standards.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of experience in inspection and CMM work, a solid GD&T background, and the ability to interpret complex drawings. A Top Secret or DOE clearance is required to support national security initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in dimensional inspection and CMM programming.
• Hands-on experience with CMM operation, setup, and inspection methodologies.
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and inspecting precision components with tight tolerances.
• High school diploma, technical certification, or equivalent experience.
• Active Top Secret Clearance or DOE Q Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspections on tight-tolerance, high-value manufactured components.
• Program, set up, and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to verify product compliance.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Develop and maintain quality control plans and inspection documentation.
• Support manufacturing and quality assurance efforts throughout production and development processes.
