Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Quality Control Dimensional Inspector to support DOE-focused fuel solutions in Oak Ridge, TN. This on-site role requires expert CMM programming and GD&T knowledge.

You will interpret drawings, develop QC plans, and ensure compliance on tight-tolerance components, with a TS or DOE clearance preferred.

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Quality Control Dimensional Inspector to support a company focused on the manufacturing and development of fuel solutions for advanced nuclear and small modular reactor programs within the Department of Energy sector. This position is on-site in Oak Ridge, TN. The Quality Control Dimensional Inspector will perform dimensional inspections, develop and execute CMM inspection programs, and ensure compliance with quality standards for precision-manufactured components. Responsibilities for the Quality Control Dimensional Inspector include:

• Perform dimensional inspections on tight-tolerance, high-value manufactured components
• Program, set up, and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to verify product compliance
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
• Develop and maintain quality control plans and inspection documentation
• Support manufacturing and quality assurance efforts throughout production and development processes

Required Qualifications for the Quality Control Dimensional Inspector include:

• 5+ years of experience in dimensional inspection and CMM programming
• Hands-on experience with CMM operation, setup, and inspection methodologies
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and inspecting precision components with tight tolerances
• High school diploma, technical certification, or equivalent experience
• Active Top Secret Clearance or DOE Q Clearance

Compensation for the Quality Control Dimensional Inspector includes:

• Salary Range: $80,000 - $130,000 annually, depending on experience
• Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Sick Leave as required by law
