Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Quality Control Dimensional Inspector to support a critical manufacturing and engineering program in Oak Ridge, TN. This role focuses on precision dimensional inspections, CMM programming, and maintaining quality standards for high-value components.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of dimensional inspection experience, strong GD&T knowledge per ANSI Y14.5, and the ability to read complex drawings. DOE/TS clearance or ability to obtain is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of dimensional inspection experience and CMM programming.
• Strong GD&T knowledge per ANSI Y14.5 standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Experience inspecting tight-tolerance, high-value components.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or DOE Q clearance.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and specifications to define inspection criteria.
• Develop and maintain quality control plans.
• Program, set up, operate, and maintain CMMs for inspections.
• Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges and other tools.
• Operate optical comparators for vision-based inspection.
• Analyze inspection data to determine accept/reject.
• Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment and tools.
