Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Quality Control Assembly Inspector to join a leading energy and engineering organization onsite in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The inspector will perform quality inspections on mechanical assemblies, verify dimensions, torque, labeling, traceability, and compliance.

Candidates should have a high school diploma with 5 years' experience, experience with CMM and GD&T, ability to read drawings, and must obtain a Top Secret or DOE Q security clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 5 years of mechanical assembly or quality inspection experience.
• Experience reading mechanical drawings and applying GD&T principles.
• Proficient with precision measurement tools and inspection procedures.
• Ability to pass a government background check and obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections on mechanical and electromechanical assemblies using precision measurement tools.
• Verify critical dimensions, torque requirements, labeling, traceability, and workmanship against specifications.
• Identify, document, and communicate defects while maintaining quality records.
• Support calibration activities, measurement system verification, and inspection tool maintenance.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and quality teams to drive improvements.
