Our client leads the charge in custom-contract manufacturing of innovative, efficacious, and cosmetically elegant state-of-the-art skin and personal care products!

Title:

QC Lab Technician

Location:

Livermore, CA

Pay:

$23-25/hr

Shift:

7am-3:30pm

Contract to hire
Responsibilities:
  1. Follow all standard operating practices, procedures, and policies of the company.
  2. Test products at various stages of production: in-process, bulk product, and finished goods.
  3. Perform routine tests on products such as measuring pH, specific gravity, viscosity, as well as sensory testing of color, odor, appearance, and texture.
  4. Prepare and send samples to contract labs and customers, and perform follow-up as needed.
  5. Observe and record all details of QC assays meticulously, including lot numbers, test results, and physical observations.
  6. Perform calibration of lab equipment regularly and maintain records.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  8. Monitor and document daily temperature readings.
  9. Understand and adhere to company procedures and standards.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned and cross-train on other QC functions.
Skills/Qualifications:
  1. BS degree in biology, chemistry, or related field with 1-3 years of relevant experience OR an Associate’s degree with 5 years of experience.
  2. Laboratory experience in a GMP-regulated environment.
  3. Basic math and computer skills.
  4. Experience with quality testing such as pH, specific gravity, viscosity, color, odor, visual, and texture assessments is a plus.
  5. Prior experience in food, cosmetics, or manufacturing is highly preferred.
