Baker Group in Altoona, IA is seeking a QAQC Specialist to support planning, tracking, and documentation of quality requirements across Mechanical projects. You will coordinate quality activities, participate in audits and inspections, and contribute to timely project closeouts.

Reporting to the Director of OSM - Mechanical, you will review quality docs, manage ITPs in Procore, validate MTRs and material traceability, and travel to job sites to support field quality reviews.

Qualifikationen

• Associate’s degree or equivalent with four years in construction, fabrication, quality, or project execution.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Word) for analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with Procore or Stratus; welding quality or MTR experience is a plus.
• Experience with mechanical piping fabrication, welding documentation, or pressure testing is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Serve as QAQC point of contact at project level.
• Perform QAQC document control and closeout of quality records.
• Own and improve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and coordinate inspections.
• Identify, document and track non-conformances (NCRs) under supervision.
• Manage ITP action plans in Procore with Project Controls team.
• Monitor progress and ensure timely inspections and approvals.
• Lead QAQC kickoff meetings to communicate requirements and documentation.
• Provide feedback to improve QAQC processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with field, shop, and QAQC teams to align documentation with activities.
• Support QAQC closeout packages for client and contractual compliance.
