Baker Group in Altoona, IA is seeking a QAQC Specialist - Mechanical to support planning, tracking and documentation of quality requirements across all Mechanical projects.

You will coordinate QAQC activities, participate in audits and inspections, manage ITPs and NCRs, review material documentation, and assist with field quality reviews to ensure compliance with industry codes and client specs. Travel to project sites and fabrication facilities is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field OR equivalent practical experience.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel and Word.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the QAQC primary point of contact at the project level.
• Perform QAQC document control, including organization, version control, and closeout of quality documentation.
• Own and continuously improve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) including action plans, inspection coordination and documentation management.
• Assist with identifying, documenting and tracking non-conformance reports (NCRs).
• Develop, update, and manage ITP action plans in Procore in collaboration with the Director of OSM - Mechanical & Project Controls team.
• Monitor ITP progress and follow up with project teams to ensure inspections, documentation, and approvals are completed on time.
• Lead QAQC kickoff meetings independently to communicate quality requirements, inspection points and documentation expectations.
