Job summary

Litehouse Foods is seeking a QA Technician I to join our team on the Night Shift, located in Hurricane, UT. The role focuses on in-process inspections, analytical testing, and documentation to ensure products meet safety and quality standards. Starting pay is $18.77/hr with an additional $3/hr for night shift.

Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years in QA, familiarity with HACCP/GMP/SQF, and proficiency in MS Office; applicants must pass a background check and sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SQF, and food safety principles.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ability to learn ERP, MVI, SharePoint, or other QMS.
• 1–2 years of quality assurance, food manufacturing, laboratory, or related experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for cross‑department documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process quality inspections and product verifications for HACCP, GMP, and SQF compliance.
• Conduct analytical testing, including titrations and specification verification.
• Manage product holds using ERP and quality systems.
• Review production records and tickets to validate quality and support investigations.
• Complete sanitation verifications and environmental monitoring activities.
• Partner with production to identify quality concerns and drive corrective actions.

Location: Hurricane, UT
Shift: 223C (6pm-6am) NIGHT SHIFT
Starting pay: $18.77/hr
Additional Pay: C Shift is $3/hr

As a QA Technician I, you'll help ensure every product meets Litehouse Foods' high standards for food safety and quality. You'll perform in-process inspections, analytical testing, documentation reviews, and product investigations while partnering closely with Production to verify products are manufactured safely, accurately, and consistently.

What You'll Do

• Perform in-process quality inspections, documentation reviews, and product verification to ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, SQF, and food safety standards.
• Conduct analytical testing, including formulation titrations, specification verification, and ingredient and finished product evaluations.
• Manage product holds by creating, tracking, investigating, and releasing materials using ERP and quality management systems.
• Review production records, job tickets, and MVI data to validate product quality and support complaint investigations.
• Complete sanitation verifications, environmental monitoring, and routine housekeeping audits to maintain food safety compliance.
• Partner with production teams to identify quality concerns, document findings, and support corrective actions and continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of quality assurance, food manufacturing, laboratory, or related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SQF, and food safety principles.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn ERP, MVI, SharePoint, or other quality management systems.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to accurately document results and collaborate across departments.
