Job summary

Litehouse Foods in Kootenai, Idaho, is hiring a Machine Technician I (Operator) to operate and lead key machinery, perform basic preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot to meet quality standards. The role is Monday–Friday, 6am–2:30pm, with starting pay of $18.77 per hour.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in the common language.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and lead key machinery to ensure efficient output and quality products.
• Set up, operate and adjust machinery; perform changeovers and washes per specs.
• Maintain basic preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on assigned equipment.
• Adhere to Food Safety policies and report safety/quality concerns.
• Ensure products meet customer and quality requirements.
• Maintain a clean work area and participate in housekeeping.

What You'll Do

• Operate and lead key machinery, striving for efficient output of quality products.
• Set up, operate and adjust machinery.
• Perform changeovers and washes that meet or exceed specifications.
• May be responsible for breaking co-workers.
• Responsibility to adhere to Food Safety policies and report food safety and quality concerns to their supervisor.
• Ensure products produced meet customer and quality requirements.

What You Bring

• High School Diploma/GED Strongly Preferred.
• Mechanically inclined preferred.
• Fully trained and experienced in the operation of one production machine as defined at each plant and/or equivalent work experience.
• Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas professionally, effectively and efficiently in the common language.
• Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task, focus and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to frequently work overtime and weekends as necessary.
• Must be able to work scheduled shifts and meet attendance requirements.
