Job summary

Gibbon Packing, LLC, an American Foods Group Company, is seeking a QA Tech - Harvest for its Gibbon, Nebraska plant. The role emphasizes in-process audits, harvest monitoring, and strict adherence to SQF, GMP, HACCP, and safety policies while ensuring PPE compliance and clean equipment.

You will report issues to supervision, coordinate with maintenance, and help maintain a safe, efficient production area. Prior QA experience is preferred; training will be provided for required certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must communicate in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Must work in varied temperatures with PPE in production areas.
• Ability to perform duties with or without accommodations.
• Ability to work extended hours Monday–Saturday with overtime.
• Overtime may be required as needed.
• Start times vary based on production needs.
• Must complete Safety, SQF, GMPs, HACCP, SOPs, and Food Defense training.

Responsibilities

• Complete In-Process Audits.
• Complete extra audits where needed.
• Complete Harvest Monitoring Sponges.
• Check chlorine spray system for sanitation at slaughter.
• Monitor staff for proper PPE and cleanliness.
• Communicate mechanical problems to maintenance.
• Report deficiencies to supervisors or leads.
• Write work orders when needed.
• Monitor cleanliness of the production area.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety, SQF, and Safety policies.
• Verify employees wear PPE appropriate to their job areas.
• Maintain active Food Defense surveillance inside the facility.
